In non-art related news: I'm officially a dog parent! This little fellow, Sully, joined the family on Friday. I've loved dogs my entire life and as soon as I found out our apartment would start allowing them, I've been obsessively checking the Humane Society website for possible dog-panions (can that be a word?). I told myself I wouldn't seriously consider getting a dog until after my solo show was over, but I had no idea how soon after it would end up being. He's 1 year old, small, but not too small, mostly housebroken, snuggly, sleeps in his kennel, kind of looks like a wolf pup/bear cub, has one floppy ear and one perky ear, and doesn't bark. Can't really get much better than that. I expect Sully will appear in some art in the future. See how I got back on topic for the art blog?
Now that I've introduced you to my dog, here's a little sneak peek at a piece I'm starting work on for a mysterious, as of yet unannounced, upcoming group show.
